Year in Review 2012

This year we mostly finished our basement.... Hung out with our Cali cousins and celebrated grandpas 70th birthday.. We were grateful my dad survived this.... We attempted a hike that was a little more difficult than expected... I ran a few races Salt Lake Half Marathon, Wasatch Back Ragnar, Top of Utah Half Marathon, the Color Run and the Temple to Temple Labor Day run... I canned a whole lot of tomatoes..... We worked on some of our fears of large dogs.... Peyton chose to be baptized..... We got a little culture at Tuacahn..... And we did a LOT of this.... And that just barely scratches the surface.  Of course if I would have been blogging consistently you would have know all this already.  That's ok in 2013 we plan to do more of the same and enjoy life as we always do.  I wish you and your families a happy and healthy New Year!!

My Sunday Message....

I just thought this was a great video for mothers on Sunday.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.  To see more videos like this go to the Mormon Channel on Youtube they have some great stuff but be sure you can reach your tissue box.

Why I broke up with my blog......and why I'm back

So people who know and LOVE me realize my intense competitive nature.  I'm not proud of it but it's true.  I want to win, I want to be the best at everything I try, and I put my all into MANY things at once and then usually don't finish any of them.  This tends to burn a person out.......So I was blogging away and I got discouraged because I wasn't the best; shoot I wasn't even close to the best.  I was trying to be all professional but I didn't really have a BRAND.  Well beside my red scarf I was just me, a mom trying to make it work.  I'm not saying this is a bad thing.  Actually it's a good thing.  I love being a mom and a nurse and a wife.  It's who I am, it's what I do best; it's me.

But I was tired of feeling like I wasn't AWESOME at everything so I broke up with my blog.  Now I feel bad I broke up with my blog.  I miss it, I miss my online friends, I miss the insight it gives me into my life, into motherhood, and how we are all s…

Five Question Friday.....

I'm joining up with Mama M. from My Little Life today for Five Question Friday I haven't participated in forever and I don't have any great pictures for today so it seemed like a great idea!!
1. If you had to give 1 million dollars to just one person (not your spouse), who would it be and why?  My mom for sure.  I have under appreciated her for years and what a great way to pay back all her time and sacrifice by giving her a million dollars.  Although I know that wouldn't even come close to paying her back for all she's done for me and continues to do for me and my little family.

2. What bathroom stall do you typically go to FIRST?
Funny you should ask I was noticing this about myself the other day.  Totally random I know but as a mother I tend to need public restrooms WAY more often than I want..... I always go to the second stall in.  Who knows why that is just what I do!
3. How do you prefer to shop: In-store or online?
This one depends on the time of year and who I&…

I Want to Be a Photographer....

I never will but I want to be and I have such great material!  I really just want to blog and scrapbook lovely photos of my children and remember how sweet and innocent they were (are).  I also want to be a comedian but that's never gonna happen either.  And while I'm listing things I want why not be a millionaire too because that would be great!  Right.....
Actually I am feeling really blessed this time of year I am so grateful for the many things I have been given.  I am grateful for the time I have to spend with family and friends and most of all thankful for the new year that is about to begin.  And with it bringing new beginnings and new opportunities.

She Still Believes and so do they....

Merry Christmas 2012

I am thrilled to start posting to my blog again!  I got a new computer for Christmas and I am hoping it will make blogging a little easier for me.  My children are ever so happy Santa found us and we are so thankful for this time of year and the "true meaning" of Christmas.

May you all have a wonderful day filled with family, love and lots of yummy food!

Staying In The Picture

I haven't blogged in so long I almost forgot how.  This is how we've been spending our weekends. These are pictures from my iphone but I figured they worked.  I read an article on facebook about staying in the picture as a mom so I'm really trying, I don't LOVE it but I want to remember myself with my kids when they get older and teenage like ;)
